When someone is determined to be entertained or have yet another way to enter an alternate reality through a video game, they'll brave just about any weather and stand in line for as long as it takes to be amongst the first people to buy the latest craze in video games.

A crowd of about 50 such interactive game aficionados did just that, at Midnight, in Delavan. Game Stop had extra employees on the sales floor and controlled the amount of people allowed into the showroom at one time. Some game buffs had been in line for five hours before the doors officially opened.

The game features the same characters as the original game "Borderlands", but the mission and enemies are new and the action is more detailed and rapid.

Evans Scholarships Awarded to 14 Wisconsin High School Seniors

Fourteen high school seniors from Wisconsin have been awarded the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship, a full tuition and housing college scholarship, beginning in fall 2011.

Evans Scholars are golf caddies who were selected based on four criteria: a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character.

The students, whose names are listed below, were awarded the scholarship to the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where they will live in the Evans Scholarship House. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years.

The Western Golf Association, headquartered in Golf, Illinois, has overseen the Chick Evans Scholarship Program through the Evans Scholars Foundation since 1930. It is among the nation’s largest privately funded scholarship programs.
